Local Involvement
staying connected to our roots
FoodScience® is committed to supporting local nonprofits whose invaluable services benefit our fellow Vermonters. Through financial contributions and volunteer efforts, we continually strive to make a difference in our communities.
Helping Hands at Camp Hochelaga
Our inaugural Good Neighbor Day was held in 2018 at Camp Hochelaga, a YWCA camp for girls located on beautiful Lake Champlain. With 175 employees participating, our teams painted cabins, built 18 wooden benches, and helped prepare the camp for winter. In total, the volunteer day saved the camp approximately $13,000 for these projects.
Vermont Youth Conservation Corps
In 2019, we partnered with VYCC, a non-profit that provides paid work for young adults through farming and conservation projects. Our teams helped prepare their 400-acre campus for spring harvest through projects like repairing greenhouses, gleaning and storing vegetables and rebuilding decks and walkways.

FoodScience® helps Vermont Youth Conservation Corps prep for 2020
A bit of rain, wind, and clouds did not hinder the staff of FoodScience® from swarming the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC)’s 400-acre campus in Richmond last week for a fall day full of inspiration, synergy and hard work.
Vermont company partners with non-profit to give back to the community
FoodScience® is a mission-driven company dedicated to helping people and pets live healthier lives. Every year the company teams up with a non-profit for a day full of service.
Helping hands at Camp Hochelaga
Somewhere between her description of the Camp Hochelaga layout and her kudos to FoodScience® for prepping the camp for the future, someone tapped Hannah Bogard about something vital.
